What is Montessori Education?
In 1907, Maria Montessori founded the first Montessori school in Rome.
The Montessori learning method is similar to traditional education in that kids will learn the same curriculum as their peers. However, the process is what’s different, using unique teaching methods and didatic materials. Montessori learners have demonstrated a consistently high level of reading comprehension and academic performance. Montessori learning emphasizes personal development and choice, not forcing every child to meet the same standard in the same timeframe. Your child is unique, so their learning process should be too.
The Busy Hands Montessori School Way
Busy Hands Montessori School is a dual medium school whereby we communicate in English and Afrikaans.
Young children who go to Busy Hands Montessori School get the necessary learning materials and support they need for their holistic development.
All activities are carefully designed to adequately nurture the emotional, intellectual and physical growth of all the children.
Through stimulating situations and hands-on learning opportunities, children are free to develop into bright young minds.
Language development is not underestimated in our Pre-school, so we have carefully chosen some languages like Spanish & French as part of our curriculum.
Our learners develop positive social interaction, independence, love for learning, respect for others, cooperative play, Self-discipline & creativity as a result of our conducive learning environment.
